چکیده
Abstract A non-damaging geophysical measurement technique test method ground penetrating radar (GPR) was carried out successfully in two sites the middle and north of Iraq order to investigate feasibility detecting shallow underground water level both selected sites. The results show that groundwater depths Baiji site were between 0.95m, 1.2m, while Hammam AL-Aleel 1.0m 1.1m near river. It also noticed GPR image showed appearances dramatically clear dissolving features sometimes coincide with which approximately about 4m depth west Northern Thermal Power Plant (NTPP), due existence Fatha formation; east (NTPP) there no solubility absence formation presence quaternary coarse sediments. This has been proved be an effective detection for can serve as a reference future application using dependent physical property permittivity conductivity engineering investigation, hydrogeological investigations, subsurface cavities.

Uxo Detection at Jefferson Proving Ground Using Ground-penetrating Radar
We have used ground-penetrating radar (GPR) to detect UXO and non-ordnance on the 40-acre site (lot 54) of Jefferson Proving Ground, Indiana. The UXO are buried within about 1 m deep in a clayey silt for which the soil water content ranged from moist near the surface to near saturation at about 1 m. We used a 16-bit radar to profile along previously established lines, and transects over artific...
متن کاملMulti-feature Based Detection of Landmines Using Ground Penetrating Radar
In this paper, we present a method for detecting antitank or anti-personnel landmines buried in the ground. A set of data generated by a ground penetrating radar is processed to remove the surface reflection and clutter, yielding signals for possible landmines. In order to detect landmines in the signals, features are computed and compared against a database, which contains those of various lan...
متن کاملAutomated Rebar Detection for Ground-Penetrating Radar
Automated rebar detection in images from groundpenetrating radar (GPR) is a challenging problem and difficult to perform in real-time as a result of relatively low contrast images and the size of the images. This paper presents a rebar localization algorithm, which can accurately locate the pixel locations of rebar within a GPR scan image. The proposed algorithm uses image classification and st...
متن کاملGround-Penetrating Radar
Ground-penetrating radar (GPR) has recently gained a wide acceptance in the archaeological community as a method that can quickly and accurately locate buried archaeological features, artifacts, and important cultural strata in the near-surface. The GPR method has been especially effective in certain sediments and soils between about 20 cm and 5 m below the ground surface, where the targets to ...
متن کاملSubsurface Imaging using Ground-Penetrating Radar Measurements
Much work has been done toward reconstructing the electrical parameters of an unknown buried object. Many methods, and accompanying results from simulations, have been presented. Most research in the area, however, has been in developing imaging algorithms that have been tested primarily through computer simulation. This paper presents a newly constructed facility for ground-penetrating radar e...
